Hiatus

Going on hiatus for a little while. I’m going to be working on a website project with a couple friends, which I’ll be focusing on for a few days, or a week or so. When I get back, I promise the background won’t be as bright for those with monitors that make it look really bright. I’d do it now, but the header isn’t transparent, and I didn’t save it as a PSD file or anything.

I’ll be back soon, also with some more textures, and such. Bye

There’s really only one texture, but whatever. xD This is the texture I made. It’s not really all that amazing, but it’s something I’d use. Expect quite a few green textures, since that’s usually what I always have trouble finding on websites.

If you’ve ever made a texture before, you know it takes a while, especially if you’re making it from scratch—it’s also fun though. I’m going to be making some tonight, probably for a few hours. We’ll see how they come out, I hope to get better and better at making them, and it’ll be something everyone could enjoy. Textures are just wonderful for making images look extra awesome, super epic, and quadruple ‘mysterious’.

/off topic now/ I went to Barnes and Nobles, and bought two Fruits Basket Manga’s, they were only ten dollars each, but my parents said they ‘didn’t have the money’. Yeah right, my dad handed me a fifty dollar bill to pay for it. I could of bought like, three more books, or a fancy pen and pencil, that match, that are twenty dollars. /end off topic/

I’ll add the few extra textures I’ll be making tomorrow afternoon when I wake up, so I won’t have to worry about updating late at night, like right now. Oh, I’ve also noticed I’ve been using a lot of run on sentences lately. I really hate chopping things up, since I usually feel like the person who’s reading will think I make no sense, or something.

Okay, NOW I’m done.

I added a new Resources section, ‘Free Content For You’. There’s content there that’s free to take, put on your website, or whatever, no credit required! There’s only two things so far, I’ll just add more when I’m bored…

I plan to make more brushes soon, suggestions appreciated. I’m also going to make some more smilies soon, suggestions appreciated also I want to get better at pixeling, since I epically fail at it.

Okay, that’s it, I really need to finish my essay and some other things. I’ll add my essay to the site sometime, it’s about why you should switch to Firefox xD Anyways, bye.

This time, I’m actually updating with new content! Yeah! Yay! Go Dezi! Yeah yeah! You’re the best! I really mean, real things. I’m just adding on suspense, to tell you what I made. -dun dun dun- Okay, that’s enough now. I made three new layout templates! As you may not know, I add three templates, looks the same, but they have different types of columns, just in case some one who isn’t familiar with coding, could choose exactly what they want. Yeah, I’m awesome. I also added notes in the style sheet, so if someone doesn’t know what they’re even editing, now know. I’m even better than awesome!

I haven’t been really sure what to make lately, so I guess I’ll just make a bunch of layout templates. Depends if I actually come up with a good layout template idea… /I fail/

I’m going to attempt to update everyday, and not just an update saying how I don’t know what to make, but updating with real things. We’ll see if I could update everyday.. WE’LL SEE!! Oh, and I’ll be adding ‘Day 1/2/3/4/etc’ to the bottom of the update, to keep track of how many days I’ve been updating.

Mind helping me out? It would be really appreciated if you gave me some ideas on what to make, since I’ve really had no inspiration or anything lately. Instead of going on the computer, I play Super Smash Brawl all day. Yeah, I’m really lame.

I coded a CSS pet page, but stupid Internet Explorer made it look like a complete DISASTER and I have no idea how to fix it. This here is the pet page I coded. If you have any idea on how to fix it to work in Internet Explorer, please tell me, I’ll love you forever.

That is all! Ideas for what I should make is truly appreciated, thanks.

Yes, a revamp. I think the website needs to be dusted up a bit, and be updated drastically more! So for about a month or longer, I’ll be on open revamp, creating lots of new content. It would be much appreciated, if you commented some themes of pet pages, colors of glitter names, etc, etc.

It would be much appreciated if all my affiliates leave me up during my revamp, since I’m NOT disappearing from the internet, I’m actually going to be on MORE. I’ll still be visiting affiliates, I’ll most likely visit more if you comment (I almost always return comments!)

Who doesn't love free domains?

Really, who doesn’t? I won two domains from NameCheap from their trivia contest, and have no idea what to do with them. I’m giving one to Sabriel, who wants the other?

I don’t want to have a contest, I’d rather decide who gets it. If you’re interested in having a domain, please comment if you’d like it. Depending on how many people are interested, I’ll narrows it down to three or five people who have a high chance of getting it. I’d prefer if you’ve had your site for a year or longer, so I know you won’t ditch the site in the month. OR, if you are planning on opening a site, then tell me why you’d want it, what you’d name it, etc.

Just so you know, the domain is only free for a year, so you should probably put Google adsense up on your site so you could pay for the next year from the ad or something that could help pay for it.

Lets see who gets the domain (:

Yes, me made stuff. ;D I actually made these yesterday and the day before, but ya know me… lazy.

Do you know what I made? I made a welcome sign, ten glitter comments, and a tutorial! Zomg, I’m so good. Four Happy Holiday, six Merry Christmas glitter comments, kitty cat welcome sign, and a ‘Glossy Beveled Text’ Paint Shop Pro tutorial. :3 I made glitter comments just in time for the holidays /sort of/. They’re not that good, three Happy Holiday comments are simple, but I personally luff them.

I like making things out of complete boredom, since all this is sort of my hobby, I don’t think of it as a chore like most people. I plan to write more Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro tutorials, so give me ideas or I’ll drink your chocolate milk! >o

That’s it, I guess… I’ve been wondering off while writing this, so it took me a long time to write this. >_<

*My cat Clovis loves Carls Jrs chicken stars (so does Missy, but not as much as Clovis).

Yeah, I coded them out of complete boredom, so hopefully you like them. They’re not really all that or anything, the color scheme is just terrible xD That’s why it’s a template, so people could edit all that stuff.

I plan to have a website layout section soon, and more styles of templates. Possibly more brushes and tutorials, we’lll see how everything comes along. Hopefully everything will come out smoothly. >_< Oh, and textures will be coming probably around the end of this year, or somewhere around 2010, depends how many I actually make.

The other day I ordered the most ADORABLE little mouse from squishables.com! It’s my Christmas stuffed animal, I get one every year What do you think of him? Still trying to think of a name.

I can’t wait till he comes in the mail! So excited ^o^ I was thinking of naming him ‘Maose’, pronounced ‘Mao-ss’. :3

Lately I haven’t really been sure what to make on here, I’m not filled with as many ‘ideas’ as I use to. Here’s some ideas I’ve had in mind, if you can, say ‘Nay’ or ‘Yay’ on which ideas I should do, or ‘may’.

Indeed it has, almost two weeks! Me so sorry, me been so lazy, me has, me has.

We have a new staff member, Alydia! She made two welcome signs and two glitters, they’re quite lovely. I’ll show you one of each, let me quickly get a link of both.

Aren’t they quite lovely? ;D Be sure to welcome Alydia, or Bonborilly will eat you alive -cough cough-

I also made a enter sign, brush set, and an icon. Actually, I’ve had the icon for a while, just haven’t added it. xD

I made the brush set out of complete boredom, didn’t take long to make. It’s not all that good, but hey, it will come in handy in some graphics every now and then. Should I write a tutorial on how to make them? All you need is GIMP, the ability to read, and a hand.

Almost forgot, I made a couple Sanrio PNGs, San-X PNGs, and a Charmy Kitty glitter.

Srsly, I’m talking srsly, but you probably don’t take me srsly when I type it like that. So, I made three Neopets PNGs, thirteen San-X PNG’s. Here’s my personal favorite one I made, it looks delicious, and dahax!

I also made a brush set, nine scribble star brushes! I like them because they’re grungey and messy, comes in handy for those types of graphics. ^o^

Yay, I finally /sort of/ got inspiration for a brush set, awesome right? xD Remember to enter one of the contests in the new contests section, feel free to suggest a contest idea. Oh, and feel free to apply for staff, still need a little bit more help with the site^^;

Last night, after watching Criminal Minds with my mom, after she fell asleep, I went in my dark room to turn off my computer. Totally normal, I think? When I was walking to turn the light on, I hit my toe on something, and was like, “Ow… Me want soda.” So I went down stairs for a soda, then looked at my feet, and two of my toes were COVERED in blood. O_O I don’t think that’s normal? Now my toe nail is a loose, and if I lift it up a little, blood will come out. Eww, I know!

Remember, if you’re still using Internet Explorer, I HIGHLY recommend you switch to Mozilla Firefox. It’s way safer, way faster, WAY better than Internet Explorer! It’s easy to get use to, so try to switch, and if you can’t… -pulls out gun- Then… you don’t even want to know… MR. T PITY DA FOOL!

*Rocky is scared of a tiger rubber ducky I have (so is Tom and Clovis).

Heel ye there’s a contest section now! “Like, oh em gee, is dis 4reelz??!?!?!!” Yep, it’s ‘4reelz’. *o* I wasn’t lazy for once, and was able to write rules and everything :3 I TOLD YOU I WASN’T LAZY! Wait.. I’m the one who says I’m lazy all the time xD

So, there’s two contests currently, button contest and a layout contest. If you have any ideas for contest(s), feel free to suggestion them and I might make it a contest. ;D So please, feel free to suggest any contest(s) ideas. Also, you can prejoin the contests, so comment and tell me if you want to prejoin, as in for sure you’re going to enter, if you aren’t sure, then don’t prejoin.

Oh, and the other day I made three glitter names! I just added them today, I’m /sort of/ lazy. >_<

Mmk, well, Christine made a brush set ;D It’s a pretty awesome brush set, and I’m planing on using it on some of my graphics soon! :3 I was going to use it today, but Photoshop wouldn’t open up, so I used GIMP x.o (Thank gawd I didn’t uninstall it!)

She told me she’s working on another brush set, so keep your eyes open for some new brushes

Hey guys, I’m Jenny and I’m a new staff member here at Rocky Road Rules You may know me from my website, Zebraffe…but if not, I’ll go ahead and tell you a bit about myself.

So I’m 13-years-old and I’ve been web-designing for about 3 years now. My birthday’s on November the 3^rd (*raises eyebrows* two more days) and then I’ll be 14. (: I love reading, shopping, web-design and graphic design. I want to be either a web-designer…or possibly something else. I think my coding is spiffyer than my graphics, but still I applied for graphic designer here xD.

Yeah, I think that’s enough, eh? xD Anyways, since yesterday, I’ve created 3 neopets signs and an article about being an affiliate. Here are my graphics…

I guess I’m off hiatus xD It’s been what, two days?

Well, I’ve had a fever for the past few days, so I haven’t been at school. Totally sucks! But I’ve been making graphics from scratch in Photoshop all day today, I really LUUURVE them, and I hope you do to. There’s THREE new sections!

I’ll just start with the good news for ya’ll, okay? Alright, so the good news is, I FINALLY got Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 to download on my computer! Woo That’s kind of it for the good news..o.o

Now.. for the bad news! Oh noes!!! So here’s the thing, my grades are pretty bad… The trimester ends -runs to get planner real quick to check- on Friday! -gasp- And I need to get my F in science, to a C! The only reason I have an F, is because my science teacher gives out like, a million tests all the time! And I’ve missed quite a few days, so now I’m missing a lot of tests. UGH!!

I probably have a D in math now, because I’m missing a bunch of my homework -sigh-. My Social Studies grade is probably pretty bad too… bleh…

Now you know why I don’t hang around IceCaves anymore, or something.

The OTHER bad news, is I’m going on hiatus till further notice!
